The people must no longer be unfaithful to the LORD by offering sacrifices to the goat idols. This is a permanent law for them, to be observed from generation to generation.
They offered sacrifices to demons, which are not God, to gods they had not known before, to new gods only recently arrived, to gods their ancestors had never feared.
They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.
"I will give it all to you," he said, "if you will kneel down and worship me."
Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist.
