BSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleEnglish Standard Version
For the choirmaster. According to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him.1For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you throw him down like a leaning wall or a tottering fence?3How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
They fully intend to cast him down from his lofty perch; they delight in lies; with their mouths they bless, but inwardly they curse. Selah4They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah
Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him.5For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.6He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock; my refuge is in God.7On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah8Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
Lowborn men are but a vapor, the exalted but a lie. Weighed on the scale, they go up; together they are but a vapor.9Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.
Place no trust in extortion, or false hope in stolen goods. If your riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.10Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.
God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: that power belongs to God,11Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,
and loving devotion to You, O Lord. For You will repay each man according to his deeds.12and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
