1“If one’s offering is a peace offering and he offers an animal from the herd, whether male or female, he must present it without blemish before the LORD.1"If someone's offering is a peace offering from the cattle, the presenter is to offer it without defect, whether the animal is male or female. They are to be brought to the LORD.
2He is to lay his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar.2Then the presenter is to lay his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. After this, Aaron's sons, the priests, are to sprinkle the blood on and around the altar.
3From the peace offering he is to bring an offering made by fire to the LORD: the fat that covers the entrails, all the fat that is on them,3"The presenter is then to bring a gift from the peace offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD. He is to remove the fat that covers the internal organs, all of the fat that is inside the internal organs,
4both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys.4the two kidneys with the fat on them by the loins, and the fatty mass that surrounds the liver and kidneys.
5Then Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar atop the burnt offering that is on the burning wood, as an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.5Then Aaron's sons are to burn them on the altar, over the burnt offering that has been placed on the wood over the fire, as an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
6If, however, one’s peace offering to the LORD is from the flock, he must present a male or female without blemish.6"If his offering to the LORD is a peace offering from the flock, whether male or female, he is to bring it without defect.
7If he is presenting a lamb for his offering, he must present it before the LORD.7If the offering that he is bringing is a lamb, then he is to bring it to the LORD.
8He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.8He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 9And from the peace offering he shall bring an offering made by fire to the LORD consisting of its fat: the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the fat that covers the entrails, all the fat that is on them,9"The presenter is then to bring a gift from the peace offering as an offering made by fire to the LORD. He is to remove the fat—the entire fat tail near the spine, the fat that covers the internal organs, all of the fat that is inside the internal organs,
10both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys.10the two kidneys with the fat on them by the loins, and the fatty mass that surrounds the liver and kidneys.
11Then the priest is to burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire to the LORD.11Then the priest is to burn them on the altar as a food offering made by fire to the LORD.
12If one’s offering is a goat, he is to present it before the LORD.12"If his offering is a goat, then he is to bring it to the LORD,
13He must lay his hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.13lay his hand over its head, then slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. After this, Aaron's sons are to sprinkle the blood on and around the altar.
14And from his offering he shall present an offering made by fire to the LORD: the fat that covers the entrails, all the fat that is on them,14"The presenter is then to present the gift as an offering made by fire to the LORD, that is, the fat that covers the internal organs, all the fat that is inside the internal organs,
15both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys.15the two kidneys with the fat on them by the loins, and the fatty mass that surrounds the liver and kidneys.
16Then the priest is to burn the food on the altar as an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma. All the fat is the LORD’s.16The priest is to burn it on the altar, a food offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma. All the fat belongs to the LORD.
17This is a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.”17"This is to be a lasting statute for all your generations, wherever you live. You are not to eat any fat or blood."
