| 25For He spoke and raised a tempest that lifted the waves of the sea. | 25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. |
| 26They mounted up to the heavens, then sunk to the depths; their courage melted in their anguish. | 26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. |
| 27They reeled and staggered like drunkards, and all their skill was useless. | 27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. |

| 32Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people and praise Him in the council of the elders. | 32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. |
| 33He turns rivers into deserts, springs of water into thirsty ground, | 33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; |
| 34and fruitful land into fields of salt, because of the wickedness of its dwellers. | 34A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. |
| 35He turns a desert into pools of water and a dry land into flowing springs. | 35He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings. |
| 36He causes the hungry to settle there, that they may establish a city in which to dwell. | 36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; |
| 37They sow fields and plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest. | 37And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. |
| 38He blesses them, and they multiply greatly; He does not let their herds diminish. | 38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. |
| 39When they are decreased and humbled by oppression, evil, and sorrow, | 39Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. |
| 40He pours out contempt on the nobles and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland. | 40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. |
| 41But He lifts the needy from affliction and increases their families like flocks. | 41Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. |
| 42The upright see and rejoice, and all iniquity shuts its mouth. | 42The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. |
| 43Let him who is wise pay heed to these things and consider the loving devotion of the LORD. | 43Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD. |
