Psalm 30
CSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Christian Standard BibleNew Living Translation
I will exalt you, LORD, because you have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me.1I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.2O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.
LORD, you brought me up from Sheol; you spared me from among those going down to the Pit.3You brought me up from the grave, O LORD. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.
Sing to the LORD, you his faithful ones, and praise his holy name.4Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor, a lifetime. Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
When I was secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."6When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!”
LORD, when you showed your favor, you made me stand like a strong mountain; when you hid your face, I was terrified.7Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.
LORD, I called to you; I sought favor from my Lord:8I cried out to you, O LORD. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,
"What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your truth?9“What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?
LORD, listen and be gracious to me; LORD, be my helper."10Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me. Help me, O LORD.”
You turned my lament into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,11You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
so that I can sing to you and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.12that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
