Psalm 86
ESV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNET Bible
Incline your ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.1A prayer of David. Listen O LORD! Answer me! For I am oppressed and needy.
Preserve my life, for I am godly; save your servant, who trusts in you—you are my God.2Protect me, for I am loyal! O my God, deliver your servant, who trusts in you!
Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day.3Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I cry out to you all day long!
Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.4Make your servant glad, for to you, O Lord, I pray!
For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.5Certainly O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, and show great faithfulness to all who cry out to you.
Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.6O LORD, hear my prayer! Pay attention to my plea for mercy!
In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.7In my time of trouble I cry out to you, for you will answer me.
There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.8None can compare to you among the gods, O Lord! Your exploits are incomparable!
All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.9All the nations, whom you created, will come and worship you, O Lord. They will honor your name.
For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.10For you are great and do amazing things. You alone are God.
Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.11O LORD, teach me how you want me to live! Then I will obey your commands. Make me wholeheartedly committed to you!
I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.12O Lord, my God, I will give you thanks with my whole heart! I will honor your name continually!
For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.13For you will extend your great loyal love to me, and will deliver my life from the depths of Sheol.
O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them.14O God, arrogant men attack me; a gang of ruthless men, who do not respect you, seek my life.
But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.15But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient and demonstrate great loyal love and faithfulness.
Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant.16Turn toward me and have mercy on me! Give your servant your strength! Deliver your slave!
Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.17Show me evidence of your favor! Then those who hate me will see it and be ashamed, for you, O LORD, will help me and comfort me.
