Psalm 92
ESV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew International Version
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High;1A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,
to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,2proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.3to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.4For you make me glad by your deeds, LORD; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
How great are your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep!5How great are your works, LORD, how profound your thoughts!
The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this:6Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand,
that though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever;7that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
but you, O LORD, are on high forever.8But you, LORD, are forever exalted.
For behold, your enemies, O LORD, for behold, your enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered.9For surely your enemies, LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil.10You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.
My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.11My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.12The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God.13planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green,14They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,
to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.15proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
