Psalm 66
ESV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew Living Translation
Shout for joy to God, all the earth;1Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!
sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!2Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah4Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude
Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.5Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people!
He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him,6He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him.
who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude
Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,8Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises.
who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.9Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.10You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver.
You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs;11You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs.
you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.12Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.
I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you,13Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you—
that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.14yes, the sacred vows that I made when I was in deep trouble.
I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah15That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you— the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma, and a sacrifice of bulls and male goats. Interlude
Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.16Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.
I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.17For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.18If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.19But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.
Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!20Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.
