HCSB Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
A Davidic song of ascents. I rejoiced with those who said to me," Let us go to the house of the LORD." 1A Song of Ascents, of David. I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem-- 2Our feet are standing Within your gates, O Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, built as a city should be, solidly joined together, 3Jerusalem, that is built As a city that is compact together;
where the tribes, Yahweh's tribes, go up to give thanks to the name of Yahweh. (This is an ordinance for Israel.) 4To which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the LORD-- An ordinance for Israel-- To give thanks to the name of the LORD.
There, thrones for judgment are placed, thrones of the house of David. 5For there thrones were set for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:" May those who love you prosper; 6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.
may there be peace within your walls, prosperity within your fortresses." 7"May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces."
Because of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be with you." 8For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, "May peace be within you."
Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good. 9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.
