Psalm 122
HCSB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleKing James Bible
1A Davidic song of ascents. I rejoiced with those who said to me," Let us go to the house of the LORD." 1A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem-- 2Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3Jerusalem, built as a city should be, solidly joined together, 3Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4where the tribes, Yahweh's tribes, go up to give thanks to the name of Yahweh. (This is an ordinance for Israel.) 4Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5There, thrones for judgment are placed, thrones of the house of David. 5For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:" May those who love you prosper; 6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7may there be peace within your walls, prosperity within your fortresses." 7Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8Because of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be with you." 8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good. 9Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
