Psalm 30
HCSB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew International Version
A psalm; a dedication song for the house. Davidic. I will exalt You, LORD, because You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me. 1A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David. I will exalt you, LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. 2LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
LORD, You brought me up from Sheol; You spared me from among those going down to the Pit. 3You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.
Sing to Yahweh, you His faithful ones, and praise His holy name. 4Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.
For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor, a lifetime. Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning. 5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
When I was secure, I said," I will never be shaken." 6When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."
LORD, when You showed Your favor, You made me stand like a strong mountain; when You hid Your face, I was terrified. 7LORD, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
LORD, I called to You; I sought favor from my Lord:" 8To you, LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your truth? 9"What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
LORD, listen and be gracious to me; LORD, be my helper." 10Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me; LORD, be my help."
You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 11You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
so that I can sing to You and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise You forever. 12that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.
