Psalm 122
ISV Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
1I rejoiced when they kept on asking me, "Let us go to the LORD's Temple."1A Davidic song of ascents. I rejoiced with those who said to me," Let us go to the house of the LORD."
2Our feet are standing inside your gates, Jerusalem.2Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem--
3Jerusalem stands built up, a city knitted together.3Jerusalem, built as a city should be, solidly joined together,
4To it the tribes ascend— the tribes of the LORD— as decreed to Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.4where the tribes, Yahweh's tribes, go up to give thanks to the name of Yahweh. (This is an ordinance for Israel.)
5For thrones are established there for judgment, thrones of the house of David.5There, thrones for judgment are placed, thrones of the house of David.
6Pray for peace for Jerusalem: "May those who love you be at peace! 6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:" May those who love you prosper;
7May peace be within your ramparts, and prosperity within your fortresses."7may there be peace within your walls, prosperity within your fortresses."
8For the sake of my relatives and friends I will now say, "May there be peace within you."8Because of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be with you."
9For the sake of the Temple of the LORD our God, I will seek your welfare.9Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.
