Psalm 122
ISV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew Living Translation
1I rejoiced when they kept on asking me, "Let us go to the LORD's Temple."1I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
2Our feet are standing inside your gates, Jerusalem.2And now here we are, standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem.
3Jerusalem stands built up, a city knitted together.3Jerusalem is a well-built city; its seamless walls cannot be breached.
4To it the tribes ascend— the tribes of the LORD— as decreed to Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.4All the tribes of Israel—the LORD’s people— make their pilgrimage here. They come to give thanks to the name of the LORD, as the law requires of Israel.
5For thrones are established there for judgment, thrones of the house of David.5Here stand the thrones where judgment is given, the thrones of the dynasty of David.
6Pray for peace for Jerusalem: "May those who love you be at peace! 6Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.
7May peace be within your ramparts, and prosperity within your fortresses."7O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces.
8For the sake of my relatives and friends I will now say, "May there be peace within you."8For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “May you have peace.”
9For the sake of the Temple of the LORD our God, I will seek your welfare.9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.
