1God's foundation is in the holy mountains.1לִבְנֵי־ קֹ֭רַח מִזְמ֣וֹר שִׁ֑יר יְ֝סוּדָת֗וֹ בְּהַרְרֵי־ קֹֽדֶשׁ׃
2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than the dwellings of Jacob.2אֹהֵ֣ב יְ֭הוָה שַׁעֲרֵ֣י צִיּ֑וֹן מִ֝כֹּ֗ל מִשְׁכְּנ֥וֹת יַעֲקֹֽב׃
3Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Interlude3נִ֭כְבָּדוֹת מְדֻבָּ֣ר בָּ֑ךְ עִ֖יר הָאֱלֹהִ֣ים סֶֽלָה׃
4I will mention Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— including Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia — "This one was born there," they say. 4אַזְכִּ֤יר ׀ רַ֥הַב וּבָבֶ֗ל לְֽיֹ֫דְעָ֥י הִנֵּ֤ה פְלֶ֣שֶׁת וְצ֣וֹר עִם־ כּ֑וּשׁ זֶ֝֗ה יֻלַּד־ שָֽׁם׃
5Indeed, about Zion it will be said: "More than one person was born in it," and "The Most High himself did it."5וּֽלֲצִיּ֨וֹן ׀ יֵאָמַ֗ר אִ֣ישׁ וְ֭אִישׁ יֻלַּד־ בָּ֑הּ וְה֖וּא יְכוֹנְנֶ֣הָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃
6The LORD will record, as he registers the peoples, "This one was born there." Interlude6יְֽהוָ֗ה יִ֭סְפֹּר בִּכְת֣וֹב עַמִּ֑ים זֶ֖ה יֻלַּד־ שָׁ֣ם סֶֽלָה׃
7Then singers, as they play their instruments, will declare, "All my roots are in you."7וְשָׁרִ֥ים כְּחֹלְלִ֑ים כָּֽל־ מַעְיָנַ֥י בָּֽךְ׃
