Psalm 120
KJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleChristian Standard Bible
1A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.2"LORD, rescue me from lying lips and a deceitful tongue."
3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?3What will he give you, and what will he do to you, you deceitful tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.4A warrior's sharp arrows with burning charcoal!
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!5What misery that I have stayed in Meshech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar!
6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.6I have dwelt too long with those who hate peace.
7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
