Psalm 120
KJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleEnglish Standard Version
1A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.2Deliver me, O LORD, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?3What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.4A warrior’s sharp arrows, with glowing coals of the broom tree!
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!5Woe to me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.6Too long have I had my dwelling among those who hate peace.
7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war!
