Psalm 125
KJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleInternational Standard Version
1A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.1Those who are trusting in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be overthrown. They remain forever.
2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.2Just as mountains encircle Jerusalem, so the LORD encircles his people, from now to eternity.
3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.3For evil's scepter will not rest on the land that has been allotted to the righteous, and so the righteous will not direct themselves to do wrong.
4Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.4LORD, do good to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart.
5As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.5But for those who choose their own devious paths, the LORD will lead them away, along with those who practice evil. Peace be upon Israel.
