Psalm 125
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
1A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.1Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever.
2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.2Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever.
3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.3The wicked will not rule the land of the godly, for then the godly might be tempted to do wrong.
4Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.4O LORD, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you.
5As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.5But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O LORD. Take them away with those who do evil. May Israel have peace!
