A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.1A Psalm of David. The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet."
The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.2The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of Your enemies."
Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.3Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.
The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.4The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek."
The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.5The Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.6He will judge among the nations, He will fill them with corpses, He will shatter the chief men over a broad country.
He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.7He will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up His head.
