| 1Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded. | 1So Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the LORD has put skill and ability to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary are to do the work according to all that the LORD has commanded." |
| 2And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it: | 2Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the LORD had put skill--everyone whose heart stirred him to volunteer to do the work, |
| 3And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. | 3and they received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to do the work for the service of the sanctuary, and they still continued to bring him a freewill offering each morning. |
| 4And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; | 4So all the skilled people who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came from the work they were doing |
| 5And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make. | 5and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than is needed for the completion of the work which the LORD commanded us to do!" |
| 6And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. | 6Moses instructed them to take his message throughout the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman do any more work for the offering for the sanctuary." So the people were restrained from bringing any more. |
| 7For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much. | 7Now the materials were more than enough for them to do all the work. |
| 8And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work made he them. | 8All the skilled among those who were doing the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet; they were made with cherubim that were the work of an artistic designer. |
| 9The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size. | 9The length of one curtain was forty-two feet, and the width of one curtain was six feet--the same size for each of the curtains. |
| 10And he coupled the five curtains one unto another: and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another. | 10He joined five of the curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he joined to one another. |
| 11And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of another curtain, in the coupling of the second. | 11He made loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in the first set; he did the same along the edge of the end curtain in the second set. |
| 12Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another. | 12He made fifty loops on the first curtain, and he made fifty loops on the end curtain that was in the second set, with the loops opposite one another. |
| 13And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle. | 13He made fifty gold clasps and joined the curtains together to one another with the clasps, so that the tabernacle was a unit. |
| 14And he made curtains of goats' hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them. | 14He made curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains. |

| 20And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up. | 20He made the frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood as uprights. |
| 21The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half. | 21The length of each frame was fifteen feet, the width of each frame was two and a quarter feet, |
| 22One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle. | 22with two projections per frame parallel one to another. He made all the frames of the tabernacle in this way. |
| 23And he made boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward: | 23So he made frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side. |
| 24And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons. | 24He made forty silver bases under the twenty frames--two bases under the first frame for its two projections, and likewise two bases under the next frame for its two projections, |
| 25And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards, | 25and for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made twenty frames |
| 26And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. | 26and their forty silver bases, two bases under the first frame and two bases under the next frame. |
| 27And for the sides of the tabernacle westward he made six boards. | 27And for the back of the tabernacle on the west he made six frames. |
| 28And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides. | 28He made two frames for the corners of the tabernacle on the back. |
| 29And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners. | 29At the two corners they were doubled at the lower end and finished together at the top in one ring. So he did for both. |
| 30And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets. | 30So there were eight frames and their silver bases, sixteen bases, two bases under each frame. |
| 31And he made bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle, | 31He made bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle |
| 32And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the sides westward. | 32and five bars for the frames on the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the tabernacle for the back side on the west. |
| 33And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other. | 33He made the middle bar to reach from end to end in the center of the frames. |

| 37And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework; | 37He made a hanging for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer, |
| 38And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets were of brass. | 38and its five posts and their hooks. He overlaid their tops and their bands with gold, but their five bases were bronze. |
