New American Standard Bible 1995NET Bible
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song. There will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God, And to You the vow will be performed.1For the music director; a psalm of David, a song. Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion. Vows made to you are fulfilled.
O You who hear prayer, To You all men come.2You hear prayers; all people approach you.
Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You forgive them.3Our record of sins overwhelms me, but you forgive our acts of rebellion.
How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You To dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.4How blessed is the one whom you choose, and allow to live in your palace courts. May we be satisfied with the good things of your house--your holy palace.
By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea;5You answer our prayers by performing awesome acts of deliverance, O God, our savior. All the ends of the earth trust in you, as well as those living across the wide seas.
Who establishes the mountains by His strength, Being girded with might;6You created the mountains by your power, and demonstrated your strength.
Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.7You calm the raging seas and their roaring waves, as well as the commotion made by the nations.
They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.8Even those living in the most remote areas are awestruck by your acts; you cause those living in the east and west to praise you.
You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth.9You visit the earth and give it rain; you make it rich and fertile with overflowing streams full of water. You provide grain for them, for you prepare the earth to yield its crops.
You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth.10You saturate its furrows, and soak its plowed ground. With rain showers you soften its soil, and make its crops grow.
You have crowned the year with Your bounty, And Your paths drip with fatness.11You crown the year with your good blessings, and you leave abundance in your wake.
The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.12The pastures in the wilderness glisten with moisture, and the hills are clothed with joy.
The meadows are clothed with flocks And the valleys are covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing.13The meadows are clothed with sheep, and the valleys are covered with grain. They shout joyfully, yes, they sing.
