Psalm 91
NASB Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995NET Bible
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.1As for you, the one who lives in the shelter of the sovereign One, and resides in the protective shadow of the mighty king--
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"2I say this about the LORD, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust--
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.3he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter and from the destructive plague.
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.4He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;5You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day,
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.6the plague that comes in the darkness, or the disease that comes at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.7Though a thousand may fall beside you, and a multitude on your right side, it will not reach you.
You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.8Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes--you will see the wicked paid back.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.9For you have taken refuge in the LORD, my shelter, the sovereign One.
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.10No harm will overtake you; no illness will come near your home.
For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.11For he will order his angels to protect you in all you do.
They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.12They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.13You will subdue a lion and a snake; you will trample underfoot a young lion and a serpent.
"Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.14The LORD says, "Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me.
"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.15When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor.
"With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."16I will satisfy him with long life, and will let him see my salvation.
