NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
"For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,1"In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.2I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.
"They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a harlot And sold a girl for wine that they may drink.3They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine to drink.
"Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? But if you do recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense on your head.4"Now what have you against me, Tyre and Sidon and all you regions of Philistia? Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.
"Since you have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples,5For you took my silver and my gold and carried off my finest treasures to your temples.
and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory,6You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, that you might send them far from their homeland.
behold, I am going to arouse them from the place where you have sold them, and return your recompense on your head.7"See, I am going to rouse them out of the places to which you sold them, and I will return on your own heads what you have done.
"Also I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a distant nation," for the LORD has spoken.8I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, a nation far away." The LORD has spoken.
Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up!9Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack.
Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, "I am a mighty man."10Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!"
Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, O LORD, Your mighty ones.11Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, LORD!
Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations.12"Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side.
Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.13Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow-- so great is their wickedness!"
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness.15The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine.
The LORD roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the LORD is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.16The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.
Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more.17"Then you will know that I, the LORD your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.
And in that day The mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go out from the house of the LORD To water the valley of Shittim.18"In that day the mountains will drip new wine, and the hills will flow with milk; all the ravines of Judah will run with water. A fountain will flow out of the LORD's house and will water the valley of acacias.
Egypt will become a waste, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood.19But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood.
But Judah will be inhabited forever And Jerusalem for all generations.20Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations.
And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, For the LORD dwells in Zion.21Shall I leave their innocent blood unavenged? No, I will not." The LORD dwells in Zion!
