Psalm 86
NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
A Prayer of David. Incline Your ear, O LORD, and answer me; For I am afflicted and needy.1Bend down, O LORD, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help.
Preserve my soul, for I am a godly man; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You.2Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. You are my God.
Be gracious to me, O Lord, For to You I cry all day long.3Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly.
Make glad the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.4Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself to you.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.5O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; And give heed to the voice of my supplications!6Listen closely to my prayer, O LORD; hear my urgent cry.
In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, For You will answer me.7I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.
There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works like Yours.8No pagan god is like you, O Lord. None can do what you do!
All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And they shall glorify Your name.9All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name.
For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God.10For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.
Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.11Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.
I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Your name forever.12With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever,
For Your lovingkindness toward me is great, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.13for your love for me is very great. You have rescued me from the depths of death.
O God, arrogant men have risen up against me, And a band of violent men have sought my life, And they have not set You before them.14O God, insolent people rise up against me; a violent gang is trying to kill me. You mean nothing to them.
But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.15But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.
Turn to me, and be gracious to me; Oh grant Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your handmaid.16Look down and have mercy on me. Give your strength to your servant; save me, the son of your servant.
Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.17Send me a sign of your favor. Then those who hate me will be put to shame, for you, O LORD, help and comfort me.
