NET Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleEnglish Standard Version
A man with crushed or severed genitals may not enter the assembly of the LORD.1“No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the LORD.
A person of illegitimate birth may not enter the assembly of the LORD; to the tenth generation no one related to him may do so. 2“No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the LORD. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD.
An Ammonite or Moabite may not enter the assembly of the LORD; to the tenth generation none of their descendants shall ever do so,3“No Ammonite or Moabite may enter the assembly of the LORD. Even to the tenth generation, none of them may enter the assembly of the LORD forever,
for they did not meet you with food and water on the way as you came from Egypt, and furthermore, they hired Balaam son of Beor of Pethor in Aram Naharaim to curse you.4because they did not meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.
But the LORD your God refused to listen to Balaam and changed the curse to a blessing, for the LORD your God loves you.5But the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam; instead the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loved you.
You must not seek peace and prosperity for them through all the ages to come.6You shall not seek their peace or their prosperity all your days forever.
You must not hate an Edomite, for he is your relative; you must not hate an Egyptian, for you lived as a foreigner in his land.7“You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a sojourner in his land.
Children of the third generation born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD. 8Children born to them in the third generation may enter the assembly of the LORD.
When you go out as an army against your enemies, guard yourselves against anything impure.9“When you are encamped against your enemies, then you shall keep yourself from every evil thing.
If there is someone among you who is impure because of some nocturnal emission, he must leave the camp; he may not reenter it immediately.10“If any man among you becomes unclean because of a nocturnal emission, then he shall go outside the camp. He shall not come inside the camp,
When evening arrives he must wash himself with water and then at sunset he may reenter the camp. 11but when evening comes, he shall bathe himself in water, and as the sun sets, he may come inside the camp.
You are to have a place outside the camp to serve as a latrine.12“You shall have a place outside the camp, and you shall go out to it.
You must have a spade among your other equipment and when you relieve yourself outside you must dig a hole with the spade and then turn and cover your excrement.13And you shall have a trowel with your tools, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it and turn back and cover up your excrement.
For the LORD your God walks about in the middle of your camp to deliver you and defeat your enemies for you. Therefore your camp should be holy, so that he does not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you. 14Because the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, so that he may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.
You must not return an escaped slave to his master when he has run away to you.15“You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you.
Indeed, he may live among you in any place he chooses, in whichever of your villages he prefers; you must not oppress him. 16He shall dwell with you, in your midst, in the place that he shall choose within one of your towns, wherever it suits him. You shall not wrong him.
There must never be a sacred prostitute among the young women of Israel nor a sacred male prostitute among the young men of Israel.17“None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute, and none of the sons of Israel shall be a cult prostitute.
You must never bring the pay of a female prostitute or the wage of a male prostitute into the temple of the LORD your God in fulfillment of any vow, for both of these are abhorrent to the LORD your God. 18You shall not bring the fee of a prostitute or the wages of a dog into the house of the LORD your God in payment for any vow, for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God.
You must not charge interest on a loan to your fellow Israelite, whether on money, food, or anything else that has been loaned with interest.19“You shall not charge interest on loans to your brother, interest on money, interest on food, interest on anything that is lent for interest.
You may lend with interest to a foreigner, but not to your fellow Israelite; if you keep this command the LORD your God will bless you in all you undertake in the land you are about to enter to possess.20You may charge a foreigner interest, but you may not charge your brother interest, that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.
When you make a vow to the LORD your God you must not delay in fulfilling it, for otherwise he will surely hold you accountable as a sinner.21“If you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not delay fulfilling it, for the LORD your God will surely require it of you, and you will be guilty of sin.
If you refrain from making a vow, it will not be sinful.22But if you refrain from vowing, you will not be guilty of sin.
Whatever you vow, you must be careful to do what you have promised, such as what you have vowed to the LORD your God as a freewill offering.23You shall be careful to do what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God what you have promised with your mouth.
When you enter the vineyard of your neighbor you may eat as many grapes as you please, but you must not take away any in a container.24“If you go into your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in your bag.
When you go into the ripe grain fields of your neighbor you may pluck off the kernels with your hand, but you must not use a sickle on your neighbor's ripe grain. 25If you go into your neighbor’s standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.
