1A song of ascents. I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come? 1שִׁ֗יר לַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אֶשָּׂ֣א עֵ֭ינַי אֶל־ הֶהָרִ֑ים מֵ֝אַ֗יִן יָבֹ֥א עֶזְרִֽי׃
2My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth! 2עֶ֭זְרִי מֵעִ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃
3May he not allow your foot to slip! May your protector not sleep! 3אַל־ יִתֵּ֣ן לַמּ֣וֹט רַגְלֶ֑ךָ אַל־ יָ֝נ֗וּם שֹֽׁמְרֶֽךָ׃
4Look! Israel's protector does not sleep or slumber! 4הִנֵּ֣ה לֹֽא־ יָ֭נוּם וְלֹ֣א יִישָׁ֑ן שׁ֝וֹמֵ֗ר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
5The LORD is your protector; the LORD is the shade at your right hand. 5יְהוָ֥ה שֹׁמְרֶ֑ךָ יְהוָ֥ה צִ֝לְּךָ֗ עַל־ יַ֥ד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃
6The sun will not harm you by day, or the moon by night. 6יוֹמָ֗ם הַשֶּׁ֥מֶשׁ לֹֽא־ יַכֶּ֗כָּה וְיָרֵ֥חַ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃
7The LORD will protect you from all harm; he will protect your life. 7יְֽהוָ֗ה יִשְׁמָרְךָ֥ מִכָּל־ רָ֑ע יִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־ נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃
8The LORD will protect you in all you do, now and forevermore. 8יְֽהוָ֗ה יִשְׁמָר־ צֵאתְךָ֥ וּבוֹאֶ֑ךָ מֵֽ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃
