He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.2He also saw a poor widow dropping in two tiny coins.
"Truly I tell you," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others.3"Truly I tell you," he said. "This poor widow has put in more than all of them.
All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."4For all these people have put in gifts out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on."
Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,5As some were talking about the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts dedicated to God, he said,
"As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down."6"These things that you see--the days will come when not one stone will be left on another that will not be thrown down."
"Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?"7"Teacher," they asked him, "so when will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?"
He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.8Then he said, "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Don't follow them.
When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."9When you hear of wars and rebellions, don't be alarmed. Indeed, it is necessary that these things take place first, but the end won't come right away."
Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.10Then he told them: "Nation will be raised up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

"But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.12But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you. They will hand you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.
And so you will bear testimony to me.13This will give you an opportunity to bear witness.
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.14Therefore make up your minds not to prepare your defense ahead of time,
For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.15for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.16You will even be betrayed by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will kill some of you.
Everyone will hate you because of me.17You will be hated by everyone because of my name,
But not a hair of your head will perish.18but not a hair of your head will be lost.
Stand firm, and you will win life.19By your endurance, gain your lives.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.21Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. Those inside the city must leave it, and those who are in the country must not enter it,
For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.22because these are days of vengeance to fulfill all the things that are written.
How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.23Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.24They will be killed by the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.25"Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the waves.
People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.26People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that are coming on the world, because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.27Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."28But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."

"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.34"Be on your guard, so that your minds are not dulled from carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, or that day will come on you unexpectedly
For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.35like a trap. For it will come on all who live on the face of the whole earth.
