and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.11and Josiah the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.
After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,12And after the deportation to Babylon: Jechoniah was the father of Shealtiel, and Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
Zerubbabel the father of Abihud, Abihud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,13and Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, and Abiud the father of Eliakim, and Eliakim the father of Azor,

and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.16and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.
Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.17So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.
This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.18Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.19And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.20But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."21She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").23“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.24When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife,
But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.25but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.
