The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,1The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron:
"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any man has an unusual bodily discharge, such a discharge is unclean.2"Speak to the Israelites and tell them, 'When any man has a discharge from his body, his discharge is unclean.
Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness:3Now this is his uncleanness in regard to his discharge--whether his body secretes his discharge or blocks his discharge, he is unclean. All the days that his body has a discharge or his body blocks his discharge, this is his uncleanness.
"'Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean.4"'Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and any furniture he sits on will be unclean.
Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.5Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.6The one who sits on the furniture the man with a discharge sits on must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
"'Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.7The one who touches the body of the man with a discharge must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
"'If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.8If the man with a discharge spits on a person who is ceremonially clean, that person must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
"'Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean,9Any means of riding the man with a discharge rides on will be unclean.
and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.10Anyone who touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening, and the one who carries those items must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
"'Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.11Anyone whom the man with the discharge touches without having rinsed his hands in water must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
"'A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water.12A clay vessel which the man with the discharge touches must be broken, and any wooden utensil must be rinsed in water.
"'When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean.13"'When the man with the discharge becomes clean from his discharge he is to count off for himself seven days for his purification, and he must wash his clothes, bathe in fresh water, and be clean.
On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the LORD to the entrance to the tent of meeting and give them to the priest.14Then on the eighth day he is to take for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and he is to present himself before the LORD at the entrance of the Meeting Tent and give them to the priest,
The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the LORD for the man because of his discharge.15and the priest is to make one of them a sin offering and the other a burnt offering. So the priest is to make atonement for him before the LORD for his discharge.
"'When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening.16"'When a man has a seminal emission, he must bathe his whole body in water and be unclean until evening,
Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening.17and he must wash in water any clothing or leather that has semen on it, and it will be unclean until evening.
When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.18When a man has sexual intercourse with a woman and there is a seminal emission, they must bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
"'When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.19"'When a woman has a discharge and her discharge is blood from her body, she is to be in her menstruation seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening.
"'Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.20Anything she lies on during her menstruation will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.
Anyone who touches her bed will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.21Anyone who touches her bed must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
Anyone who touches anything she sits on will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.22Anyone who touches any furniture she sits on must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, they will be unclean till evening.23If there is something on the bed or on the furniture she sits on, when he touches it he will be unclean until evening,
"'If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.24and if a man actually has sexual intercourse with her so that her menstrual impurity touches him, then he will be unclean seven days and any bed he lies on will be unclean.
"'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period.25"'When a woman's discharge of blood flows many days not at the time of her menstruation, or if it flows beyond the time of her menstruation, all the days of her discharge of impurity will be like the days of her menstruation--she is unclean.
Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period.26Any bed she lies on all the days of her discharge will be to her like the bed of her menstruation, any furniture she sits on will be unclean like the impurity of her menstruation,
Anyone who touches them will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.27and anyone who touches them will be unclean, and he must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
"'When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean.28"'If she becomes clean from her discharge, then she is to count off for herself seven days, and afterward she will be clean.
On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting.29Then on the eighth day she must take for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons and she must bring them to the priest at the entrance of the Meeting Tent,
The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge.30and the priest is to make one a sin offering and the other a burnt offering. So the priest is to make atonement for her before the LORD from her discharge of impurity.
"'You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, which is among them.'"31"'Thus you are to set the Israelites apart from their impurity so that they do not die in their impurity by defiling my tabernacle which is in their midst.
These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen,32This is the law of the one with a discharge: the one who has a seminal emission and becomes unclean by it,
for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who has sexual relations with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.33the one who is sick in her menstruation, the one with a discharge, whether male or female, and a man who has sexual intercourse with an unclean woman.'"
