Psalm 92
NIV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNew Living Translation
A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,1It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High.
proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,2It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,
to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.3accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre.
For you make me glad by your deeds, LORD; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.4You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.
How great are your works, LORD, how profound your thoughts!5O LORD, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.
Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand,6Only a simpleton would not know, and only a fool would not understand this:
that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.7Though the wicked sprout like weeds and evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
But you, LORD, are forever exalted.8But you, O LORD, will be exalted forever.
For surely your enemies, LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.9Your enemies, LORD, will surely perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.10But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil.
My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.11My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents.
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;12But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.13For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,14Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.
proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."15They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!”
