Psalm 120
NKJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
1A Song of Ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, And He heard me.1In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.2"LORD, rescue me from lying lips and a deceitful tongue."
3What shall be given to you, Or what shall be done to you, You false tongue?3What will he give you, and what will he do to you, you deceitful tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the warrior, With coals of the broom tree!4A warrior's sharp arrows with burning charcoal!
5Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech, That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!5What misery that I have stayed in Meshech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar!
6My soul has dwelt too long With one who hates peace.6I have dwelt too long with those who hate peace.
7I am for peace; But when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
