NKJV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
1A Song of Ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, And He heard me.1A Song of Ascents. In my trouble I cried to the LORD, And He answered me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, From a deceitful tongue.
3What shall be given to you, Or what shall be done to you, You false tongue?3What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, You deceitful tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the warrior, With coals of the broom tree!4Sharp arrows of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom tree.
5Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech, That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!5Woe is me, for I sojourn in Meshech, For I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
6My soul has dwelt too long With one who hates peace.6Too long has my soul had its dwelling With those who hate peace.
7I am for peace; But when I speak, they are for war.7I am for peace, but when I speak, They are for war.
