Psalm 86
NKJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionEnglish Standard Version
A Prayer of David. Bow down Your ear, O LORD, hear me; For I am poor and needy.1Incline your ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You!2Preserve my life, for I am godly; save your servant, who trusts in you—you are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord, For I cry to You all day long.3Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day.
Rejoice the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.4Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.5For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications.6Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.
In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.7In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.
Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works.8There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.
All nations whom You have made Shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And shall glorify Your name.9All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.
For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God.10For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.
Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.11Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.12I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.
For great is Your mercy toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.13For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
O God, the proud have risen against me, And a mob of violent men have sought my life, And have not set You before them.14O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them.
But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.15But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant.16Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant.
Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.17Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
