Psalm 13

New King James VersionNET Bible
1To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?1For the music director; a psalm of David. How long, LORD, will you continue to ignore me? How long will you pay no attention to me?
2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?2How long must I worry, and suffer in broad daylight? How long will my enemy gloat over me?
3Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;3Look at me! Answer me, O LORD my God! Revive me, or else I will die!
4Lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him”; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved.4Then my enemy will say, "I have defeated him!" Then my foes will rejoice because I am upended.
5But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.5But I trust in your faithfulness. May I rejoice because of your deliverance!
6I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.6I will sing praises to the LORD when he vindicates me.
