Psalm 13
NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
1To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?1For the director of music. A psalm of David. How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?2How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;3Look on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
4Lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him”; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved.4and my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.5But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.6I will sing the LORD's praise, for he has been good to me.
