Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:1Then the LORD said to Moses,
“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.2"See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,3and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills--
to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,4to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.5to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.
“And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you:6Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:
the tabernacle of meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tabernacle—7the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent--
the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense,8the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,
the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base—9the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand--
the garments of ministry, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests,10and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,
and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. According to all that I have commanded you they shall do.”11and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you."
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,12Then the LORD said to Moses,
“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.13"Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.14"'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death; those who do any work on that day must be cut off from their people.
Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.15For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death.
Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.16The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”17It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'"
And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.18When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
