NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of Heaven’s Armies.1For the choirmaster. According to Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely is Your dwelling place, O LORD of Hosts!
I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the LORD. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.2My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God!3Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she places her young near Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. Interlude4How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah
What joy for those whose strength comes from the LORD, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.5Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.6As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with pools.
They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.7They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion.
O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, O God of Jacob. Interlude8O LORD God of Hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah
O God, look with favor upon the king, our shield! Show favor to the one you have anointed.9Take notice of our shield, O God, and look with favor on the face of Your anointed.
A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.10For better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.11For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.
O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.12O LORD of Hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You!
