NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
O God, do not be silent! Do not be deaf. Do not be quiet, O God.1A song. A Psalm of Asaph. O God, be not silent; be not speechless; be not still, O God.
Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies? Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?2See how Your enemies rage, how Your foes have reared their heads.
They devise crafty schemes against your people; they conspire against your precious ones.3With cunning they scheme against Your people and conspire against those You cherish,
“Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”4saying, “Come, let us erase them as a nation; may the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
Yes, this was their unanimous decision. They signed a treaty as allies against you—5For with one mind they plot together, they form an alliance against You—
these Edomites and Ishmaelites; Moabites and Hagrites;6the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,
Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites; and people from Philistia and Tyre.7of Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, of Philistia with the people of Tyre.
Assyria has joined them, too, and is allied with the descendants of Lot. Interlude8Even Assyria has joined them, lending strength to the sons of Lot. Selah
Do to them as you did to the Midianites and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.9Do to them as You did to Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the River Kishon,
They were destroyed at Endor, and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.10who perished at Endor and became like dung on the ground.
Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did. Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna,11Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
for they said, “Let us seize for our own use these pasturelands of God!”12who said, “Let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God.”
O my God, scatter them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind!13Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff before the wind.
As a fire burns a forest and as a flame sets mountains ablaze,14As fire consumes a forest, as a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
chase them with your fierce storm; terrify them with your tempest.15so pursue them with Your tempest, and terrify them with Your storm.
Utterly disgrace them until they submit to your name, O LORD.16Cover their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O LORD.
Let them be ashamed and terrified forever. Let them die in disgrace.17May they be ever ashamed and terrified; may they perish in disgrace.
Then they will learn that you alone are called the LORD, that you alone are the Most High, supreme over all the earth.18May they know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are Most High over all the earth.
