Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children, Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children
and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints; But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. and there must be no filthiness or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Therefore do not be partakers with them. Therefore do not become partners with them; Be not ye therefore partakers with them. Therefore do not become partners with them; Therefore do not be partners with them.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
Test and prove what pleases the Lord. and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. as you try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. and find out what pleases the Lord.
Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.
So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.” This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,
redeeming the time, because the days are evil. making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. making the most of your time, because the days are evil. making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord; speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,
always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father; always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. and subject yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—
For we are members of His body. because we are members of his body. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. because we are parts of His body. for we are members of his body.
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND HIS MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church. This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.
Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
