I will Stretch Out My Hand

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
1Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.1And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.1Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.1And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.1The LORD answered Moses, "See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet.
2You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country.2You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land.2"You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall speak to Pharaoh that he let the sons of Israel go out of his land.2Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.2You must say whatever I command you; then Aaron your brother must declare it to Pharaoh so that he will let the Israelites go from his land.
3But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt,3But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,3"But I will harden Pharaoh's heart that I may multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.3And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.3But I will harden Pharaoh's heart and multiply My signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.
4he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites.4Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and bring my hosts, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment.4"When Pharaoh does not listen to you, then I will lay My hand on Egypt and bring out My hosts, My people the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt by great judgments.4But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.4Pharaoh will not listen to you, but I will put My hand on Egypt and bring the divisions of My people the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
5And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it."5The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them.”5"The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel from their midst."5And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.5The Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh when I stretch out My hand against Egypt, and bring out the Israelites from among them."
6Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD commanded them.6Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the LORD commanded them.6So Moses and Aaron did it; as the LORD commanded them, thus they did.6And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.6So Moses and Aaron did this; they did just as the LORD commanded them.
7Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.7Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.7Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharaoh.7And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.7Moses was 80 years old and Aaron 83 when they spoke to Pharaoh.

Aaron's Staff Becomes a Serpent

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
8The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,8Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,8Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,8And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,8The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "
9"When Pharaoh says to you, 'Perform a miracle,' then say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,' and it will become a snake."9“When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Prove yourselves by working a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.’”9"When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, 'Work a miracle,' then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.'"9When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.9When Pharaoh tells you, 'Perform a miracle,' tell Aaron, 'Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh. It will become a serpent.'"
10So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake.10So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.10So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and thus they did just as the LORD had commanded; and Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.10And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.10So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw down his staff before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent.
11Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts:11Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the magicians of Egypt, also did the same by their secret arts.11Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts.11Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.11But then Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers--the magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same thing by their occult practices.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
12Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.12For each man cast down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.12For each one threw down his staff and they turned into serpents. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.12For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.12Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron's staff swallowed their staffs.
13Yet Pharaoh's heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.13Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.13Yet Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.13And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.13However, Pharaoh's heart hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.

The First Plague: Blood

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
14Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is unyielding; he refuses to let the people go.14Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.14Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is stubborn; he refuses to let the people go.14And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.14Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hard: he refuses to let the people go.
15Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he goes out to the river. Confront him on the bank of the Nile, and take in your hand the staff that was changed into a snake.15Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he is going out to the water. Stand on the bank of the Nile to meet him, and take in your hand the staff that turned into a serpent.15"Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he is going out to the water, and station yourself to meet him on the bank of the Nile; and you shall take in your hand the staff that was turned into a serpent.15Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.15Go to Pharaoh in the morning. When you see him walking out to the water, stand ready to meet him by the bank of the Nile. Take in your hand the staff that turned into a snake.
16Then say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened.16And you shall say to him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness.” But so far, you have not obeyed.16"You shall say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, "Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness. But behold, you have not listened until now."16And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.16Tell him: Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me in the wilderness, but so far you have not listened.
17This is what the LORD says: By this you will know that I am the LORD: With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood.17Thus says the LORD, “By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, with the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water that is in the Nile, and it shall turn into blood.17'Thus says the LORD, "By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and it will be turned to blood.17Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.17This is what Yahweh says: Here is how you will know that I am Yahweh. Watch. I will strike the water in the Nile with the staff in my hand, and it will turn to blood.

18The fish in the Nile will die, and the river will stink; the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water.'"18The fish in the Nile shall die, and the Nile will stink, and the Egyptians will grow weary of drinking water from the Nile.”’”18"The fish that are in the Nile will die, and the Nile will become foul, and the Egyptians will find difficulty in drinking water from the Nile."'"18And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.18The fish in the Nile will die, the river will stink, and the Egyptians will be unable to drink water from it."
19The LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt--over the streams and canals, over the ponds and all the reservoirs--and they will turn to blood.' Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in vessels of wood and stone."19And the LORD said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, their canals, and their ponds, and all their pools of water, so that they may become blood, and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”19Then the LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their reservoirs of water, that they may become blood; and there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.'"19And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.19So the LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron: Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt--over their rivers, canals, ponds, and all their water reservoirs--and they will become blood. There will be blood throughout the land of Egypt, even in wooden and stone containers."
20Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood.20Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded. In the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants he lifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the water in the Nile turned into blood.20So Moses and Aaron did even as the LORD had commanded. And he lifted up the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood.20And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.20Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded; in the sight of Pharaoh and his officials, he raised the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the water in the Nile was turned to blood.
21The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.21And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.21The fish that were in the Nile died, and the Nile became foul, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. And the blood was through all the land of Egypt.21And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.21The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad the Egyptians could not drink water from it. There was blood throughout the land of Egypt.
22But the Egyptian magicians did the same things by their secret arts, and Pharaoh's heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.22But the magicians of Egypt did the same by their secret arts. So Pharaoh’s heart remained hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.22But the magicians of Egypt did the same with their secret arts; and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.22And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.22But the magicians of Egypt did the same thing by their occult practices. So Pharaoh's heart hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
23Instead, he turned and went into his palace, and did not take even this to heart.23Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he did not take even this to heart.23Then Pharaoh turned and went into his house with no concern even for this.23And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.23Pharaoh turned around, went into his palace, and didn't even take this to heart.
24And all the Egyptians dug along the Nile to get drinking water, because they could not drink the water of the river.24And all the Egyptians dug along the Nile for water to drink, for they could not drink the water of the Nile.24So all the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, for they could not drink of the water of the Nile.24And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.24All the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink because they could not drink the water from the river.
25Seven days passed after the LORD struck the Nile.25Seven full days passed after the LORD had struck the Nile.25Seven days passed after the LORD had struck the Nile.25And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.25Seven days passed after the LORD struck the Nile.
