And I looked and saw above the expanse, above the heads of the cherubim, the likeness of a throne of sapphire. Then I looked, and behold, on the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something like a sapphire, in appearance like a throne. Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. Then I looked, and behold, in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a sapphire stone, in appearance resembling a throne, appeared above them. I looked, and I saw the likeness of a throne of lapis lazuli above the vault that was over the heads of the cherubim.
And the LORD said to the man clothed in linen, “Go inside the wheelwork beneath the cherubim. Fill your hands with burning coals from among the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” And as I watched, he went in. And he said to the man clothed in linen, “Go in among the whirling wheels underneath the cherubim. Fill your hands with burning coals from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in before my eyes. And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight. And He spoke to the man clothed in linen and said, “Enter between the whirling wheels under the cherubim and fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he entered in my sight. The LORD said to the man clothed in linen, “Go in among the wheels beneath the cherubim. Fill your hands with burning coals from among the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” And as I watched, he went in.
Now when the man went in, the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple, and a cloud filled the inner court. Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the house, when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner court. Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. Now the cherubim were standing on the right side of the temple when the man entered, and the cloud filled the inner courtyard. Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner court.
Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherubim and stood over the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the LORD. And the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub to the threshold of the house, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the LORD. Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory. Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub to the threshold of the temple, and the temple was filled with the cloud, and the courtyard was filled with the brightness of the glory of the LORD. Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple. The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the LORD.
The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks. And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks. And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh. Moreover, the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer courtyard, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks. The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard as far away as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
When the LORD commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from within the wheelwork, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside a wheel. And when he commanded the man clothed in linen, “Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” he went in and stood beside a wheel. And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels. And it came about when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” he entered and stood beside a wheel. When the LORD commanded the man in linen, “Take fire from among the wheels, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside a wheel.
Then one of the cherubim reached out his hand and took some of the fire that was among them. And he put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who received it and went out. And a cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who took it and went out. And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out. Then the cherub reached out with his hand from between the cherubim to the fire which was between the cherubim, took some coals and put them into the hands of the one clothed in linen; and he took them and went out. Then one of the cherubim reached out his hand to the fire that was among them. He took up some of it and put it into the hands of the man in linen, who took it and went out.
(The cherubim appeared to have the form of human hands under their wings.) The cherubim appeared to have the form of a human hand under their wings. And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings. The cherubim appeared to have something like a human hand under their wings. (Under the wings of the cherubim could be seen what looked like human hands.)
Then I looked and saw four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub. And the wheels gleamed like a beryl stone. And I looked, and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim, one beside each cherub, and the appearance of the wheels was like sparkling beryl. And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone. Then I looked, and behold, four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like the gleam of a Tarshish stone. I looked, and I saw beside the cherubim four wheels, one beside each of the cherubim; the wheels sparkled like topaz.
As for their appearance, all four had the same form, like a wheel within a wheel. And as for their appearance, the four had the same likeness, as if a wheel were within a wheel. And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel. And as for their appearance, all four of them had the same likeness, as if one wheel were within another wheel. As for their appearance, the four of them looked alike; each was like a wheel intersecting a wheel.
When they moved, they would go in any of the four directions, without turning as they moved. For wherever the head faced, the cherubim would go in that direction, without turning as they moved. When they went, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went, but in whatever direction the front wheel faced, the others followed without turning as they went. When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went. When they moved, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went; but they followed in the direction which they faced, without turning as they went. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the cherubim faced; the wheels did not turn about as the cherubim went. The cherubim went in whatever direction the head faced, without turning as they went.
Their entire bodies, including their backs, hands, and wings, were full of eyes all around, as were their four wheels. And their whole body, their rims, and their spokes, their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around—the wheels that the four of them had. And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had. And their whole body, their backs, their hands, their wings and the wheels were covered with eyes all around, the wheels belonging to all four of them. Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were completely full of eyes, as were their four wheels.
I heard the wheels being called “the whirling wheels.” As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing “the whirling wheels.” As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel. The wheels were called, as I heard, the whirling wheels. I heard the wheels being called “the whirling wheels.”
Each of the cherubim had four faces: the first face was that of a cherub, the second that of a man, the third that of a lion, and the fourth that of an eagle. And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was a human face, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. And each one had four faces. The first face was the face of a cherub, the second face was the face of a human, the third, the face of a lion, and the fourth, the face of an eagle. Each of the cherubim had four faces: One face was that of a cherub, the second the face of a human being, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
Then the cherubim rose upward. These were the living creatures I had seen by the River Kebar. And the cherubim mounted up. These were the living creatures that I saw by the Chebar canal. And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar. Then the cherubim rose up. They are the living beings that I saw by the river Chebar. Then the cherubim rose upward. These were the living creatures I had seen by the Kebar River.
When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved beside them, and even when they spread their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not veer away from their side. And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them. And when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels did not turn from beside them. And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them. Now when the cherubim moved, the wheels would move beside them; also when the cherubim lifted up their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels themselves would not turn away from beside them. When the cherubim moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the cherubim spread their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not leave their side.
When the cherubim stood still, the wheels also stood still, and when they ascended, the wheels ascended with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. When they stood still, these stood still, and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in them. When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them. When the cherubim stood still, the wheels would stand still; and when they rose up, the wheels would rise with them, because the spirit of the living beings was in them. When the cherubim stood still, they also stood still; and when the cherubim rose, they rose with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in them.
Then the glory of the LORD moved away from the threshold of the temple and stood above the cherubim. Then the glory of the LORD went out from the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim. Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims. Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim. Then the glory of the LORD departed from over the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim.
As I watched, the cherubim lifted their wings and rose up from the ground, with the wheels beside them as they went. And they stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the house of the LORD, with the glory of the God of Israel above them. And the cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth before my eyes as they went out, with the wheels beside them. And they stood at the entrance of the east gate of the house of the LORD, and the glory of the God of Israel was over them. And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. When the cherubim departed, they lifted their wings and rose up from the ground in my sight with the wheels beside them; and they stood still at the entrance of the east gate of the LORD’S house, and the glory of the God of Israel hovered over them. While I watched, the cherubim spread their wings and rose from the ground, and as they went, the wheels went with them. They stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the LORD’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the River Kebar, and I knew that they were cherubim. These were the living creatures that I saw underneath the God of Israel by the Chebar canal; and I knew that they were cherubim. This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims. These are the living beings that I saw beneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar; so I knew that they were cherubim. These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the Kebar River, and I realized that they were cherubim.
Each had four faces and four wings, with what looked like human hands under their wings. Each had four faces, and each four wings, and underneath their wings the likeness of human hands. Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. Each one had four faces and each one four wings, and beneath their wings was the form of human hands. Each had four faces and four wings, and under their wings was what looked like human hands.
Their faces looked like the faces I had seen by the River Kebar. Each creature went straight ahead. And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the Chebar canal. Each one of them went straight forward. And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the river Chebar. Each one went straight ahead. Their faces had the same appearance as those I had seen by the Kebar River. Each one went straight ahead.
