Good News Translation
Like Jeroboam before him, he aroused the anger of the LORD, the God of Israel, by his sins and by leading the people into sin and idolatry.

He acted just like Jeroboam and made the LORD God of Israel angry by causing the Israelites to sin and to worship idols.
