Good News Translation
When I punish the people for their sins and make the country a wasteland, then they will know that I am the LORD."

Then they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have made the land a desolation and a waste because of all their abominations that they have committed.

I will punish you because of your sins, and I will turn your nation into a barren desert. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
