He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.
When the harvest time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the crop.

Are these not the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were populous and prosperous, and the Negev and the Lowland were inhabited?'"
But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.
I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. . . .
On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets.
