BSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleEnglish Standard Version
“You are to construct the tabernacle itself with ten curtains of finely spun linen, each with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and cherubim skillfully worked into them.1“Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns; you shall make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them.
Each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide—all curtains the same size.2The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits; all the curtains shall be the same size.
Five of the curtains are to be joined together, and the other five joined as well.3Five curtains shall be coupled to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.
Make loops of blue material on the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and do the same for the end curtain in the second set.4And you shall make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set. Likewise you shall make loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set.
Make fifty loops on one curtain and fifty loops on the end curtain of the second set, so that the loops line up opposite one another.5Fifty loops you shall make on the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is in the second set; the loops shall be opposite one another.
Make fifty gold clasps as well, and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle will be a unit.6And you shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains one to the other with the clasps, so that the tabernacle may be a single whole.
You are to make curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle—eleven curtains in all.7“You shall also make curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains shall you make.
Each of the eleven curtains is to be the same size—thirty cubits long and four cubits wide.8The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. The eleven curtains shall be the same size.
Join five of the curtains into one set and the other six into another. Then fold the sixth curtain over double at the front of the tent.9You shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and the sixth curtain you shall double over at the front of the tent.
Make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and fifty loops along the edge of the corresponding curtain in the second set.10You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second set.
Make fifty bronze clasps and put them through the loops to join the tent together as a unit.11“You shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together that it may be a single whole.
As for the overlap that remains of the tent curtains, the half curtain that is left over shall hang down over the back of the tabernacle.12And the part that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
And the tent curtains will be a cubit longer on either side, and the excess will hang over the sides of the tabernacle to cover it.13And the extra that remains in the length of the curtains, the cubit on the one side, and the cubit on the other side, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and that side, to cover it.
Also make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of fine leather.14And you shall make for the tent a covering of tanned rams’ skins and a covering of goatskins on top.
You are to construct upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle.15“You shall make upright frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood.
Each frame is to be ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.16Ten cubits shall be the length of a frame, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each frame.
Two tenons must be connected to each other for each frame. Make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.17There shall be two tenons in each frame, for fitting together. So shall you do for all the frames of the tabernacle.
Construct twenty frames for the south side of the tabernacle,18You shall make the frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side;
with forty silver bases under the twenty frames—two bases for each frame, one under each tenon.19and forty bases of silver you shall make under the twenty frames, two bases under one frame for its two tenons, and two bases under the next frame for its two tenons;
For the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, make twenty frames20and for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side twenty frames,
and forty silver bases—two bases under each frame.21and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one frame, and two bases under the next frame.
Make six frames for the rear of the tabernacle, the west side,22And for the rear of the tabernacle westward you shall make six frames.
and two frames for the two back corners of the tabernacle,23And you shall make two frames for corners of the tabernacle in the rear;
coupled together from bottom to top and fitted into a single ring. These will serve as the two corners.24they shall be separate beneath, but joined at the top, at the first ring. Thus shall it be with both of them; they shall form the two corners.
So there are to be eight frames and sixteen silver bases—two under each frame.25And there shall be eight frames, with their bases of silver, sixteen bases; two bases under one frame, and two bases under another frame.
You are also to make five crossbars of acacia wood for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,26“You shall make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle,
five for those on the other side, and five for those on the rear side of the tabernacle, to the west.27and five bars for the frames of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the side of the tabernacle at the rear westward.
The central crossbar in the middle of the frames shall extend from one end to the other.28The middle bar, halfway up the frames, shall run from end to end.
Overlay the frames with gold and make gold rings to hold the crossbars. Also overlay the crossbars with gold.29You shall overlay the frames with gold and shall make their rings of gold for holders for the bars, and you shall overlay the bars with gold.
So you are to set up the tabernacle according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.30Then you shall erect the tabernacle according to the plan for it that you were shown on the mountain.
Make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen, with cherubim skillfully worked into it.31“And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. It shall be made with cherubim skillfully worked into it.
Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood, overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.32And you shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, with hooks of gold, on four bases of silver.
And hang the veil from the clasps and place the ark of the Testimony behind the veil. So the veil will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.33And you shall hang the veil from the clasps, and bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy.
Put the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.34You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.
And place the table outside the veil on the north side of the tabernacle, and put the lampstand opposite the table, on the south side.35And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle opposite the table, and you shall put the table on the north side.
For the entrance to the tent, you are to make a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen.36“You shall make a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework.
Make five posts of acacia wood for the curtain, overlay them with gold hooks, and cast five bronze bases for them.37And you shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, and you shall cast five bases of bronze for them.
