Psalm 30
BSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleEnglish Standard Version
A Psalm. A song for the dedication of the temple. Of David. I will exalt You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me.1I will extol you, O LORD, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.2O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.
O LORD, You pulled me up from Sheol; You spared me from descending into the Pit.3O LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.
Sing to the LORD, O you His saints, and praise His holy name.4Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.
For His anger is fleeting, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.5For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
In prosperity I said, “I will never be shaken.”6As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.”
O LORD, You favored me; You made my mountain stand strong. When You hid Your face, I was dismayed.7By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed.
To You, O LORD, I called, and I begged my Lord for mercy:8To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy:
“What gain is there in my bloodshed, in my descent to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your faithfulness?9“What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
Hear me, O LORD, and have mercy; O LORD, be my helper.”10Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me! O LORD, be my helper!”
You turned my mourning into dancing; You peeled off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,11You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks forever.12that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
