1Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won't be tempted.1Ἀδελφοί ἐὰν καὶ προλημφθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἔν τινι παραπτώματι ὑμεῖς οἱ πνευματικοὶ καταρτίζετε τὸν τοιοῦτον ἐν πνεύματι πραΰτητος σκοπῶν σεαυτόν μὴ καὶ σὺ πειρασθῇς
2Carry one another's burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.2Ἀλλήλων τὰ βάρη βαστάζετε καὶ οὕτως ἀναπληρώσετε τὸν νόμον τοῦ Χριστοῦ
3For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 3εἰ γὰρ δοκεῖ τις εἶναί τι μηδὲν ὤν φρεναπατᾷ ἑαυτόν
4But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have a reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else. 4Τὸ δὲ ἔργον ἑαυτοῦ δοκιμαζέτω ἕκαστος καὶ τότε εἰς ἑαυτὸν μόνον τὸ καύχημα ἕξει καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὸν ἕτερον
5For each person will have to carry his own load. 5ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον φορτίον βαστάσει
6The one who is taught the message must share all his good things with the teacher. 6Κοινωνείτω δὲ ὁ κατηχούμενος τὸν λόγον τῷ κατηχοῦντι ἐν πᾶσιν ἀγαθοῖς
7Don't be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap, 7Μὴ πλανᾶσθε Θεὸς οὐ μυκτηρίζεται ὃ γὰρ ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει
8because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. 8ὅτι ὁ σπείρων εἰς τὴν σάρκα ἑαυτοῦ ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς θερίσει φθοράν ὁ δὲ σπείρων εἰς τὸ Πνεῦμα ἐκ τοῦ Πνεύματος θερίσει ζωὴν αἰώνιον
9So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up. 9Τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ἐνκακῶμεν καιρῷ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι
10Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. 10Ἄρα οὖν ὡς καιρὸν ἔχομεν* ἐργαζώμεθα τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς πάντας μάλιστα δὲ πρὸς τοὺς οἰκείους τῆς πίστεως
11Look at what large letters I use as I write to you in my own handwriting. 11Ἴδετε πηλίκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἔγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί
12Those who want to make a good impression in the flesh are the ones who would compel you to be circumcised--but only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 12Ὅσοι θέλουσιν εὐπροσωπῆσαι ἐν σαρκί οὗτοι ἀναγκάζουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι μόνον ἵνα τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Χριστοῦ (Ἰησοῦ) μὴ διώκωνται
13For even the circumcised don't keep the law themselves; however, they want you to be circumcised in order to boast about your flesh. 13οὐδὲ γὰρ οἱ περιτεμνόμενοι αὐτοὶ νόμον φυλάσσουσιν ἀλλὰ θέλουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι ἵνα ἐν τῇ ὑμετέρᾳ σαρκὶ καυχήσωνται
14But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world. 14Ἐμοὶ δὲ μὴ γένοιτο καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δι’ οὗ ἐμοὶ κόσμος ἐσταύρωται κἀγὼ κόσμῳ
15For both circumcision and uncircumcision mean nothing; what matters instead is a new creation.15οὔτε γὰρ περιτομή τί ἐστιν οὔτε ἀκροβυστία ἀλλὰ καινὴ κτίσις
16May peace come to all those who follow this standard, and mercy to the Israel of God! 16Καὶ ὅσοι τῷ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν εἰρήνη ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλεος καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ Θεοῦ
17From now on, let no one cause me trouble, because I bear on my body scars for the cause of Jesus.17Τοῦ λοιποῦ κόπους μοι μηδεὶς παρεχέτω ἐγὼ γὰρ τὰ στίγματα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ σώματί μου βαστάζω
18Brothers, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. 18Ἡ χάρις τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν ἀδελφοί Ἀμήν
