1Benjamin fathered Bela, his firstborn; Ashbel was born second, Aharah third, 1Benjamin’s first son was Bela, the second was Ashbel, the third was Aharah,
2Nohah fourth, and Rapha fifth. 2the fourth was Nohah, and the fifth was Rapha.
3Bela's sons: Addar, Gera, Abihud, 3The sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, Abihud,
4Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah, 4Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,
5Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram. 5Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.
6These were Ehud's sons, who were the heads of the families living in Geba and who were deported to Manahath: 6The sons of Ehud, leaders of the clans living at Geba, were exiled to Manahath.
7Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera. Gera deported them and was the father of Uzza and Ahihud. 7Ehud’s sons were Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera. Gera, who led them into exile, was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.
8Shaharaim had sons in the country of Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara. 8After Shaharaim divorced his wives Hushim and Baara, he had children in the land of Moab.
9His sons by his wife Hodesh: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam, 9His wife Hodesh gave birth to Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,
10Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families. 10Jeuz, Sakia, and Mirmah. These sons all became the leaders of clans.
11He also had sons by Hushim: Abitub and Elpaal. 11Shaharaim’s wife Hushim had already given birth to Abitub and Elpaal.
12Elpaal's sons: Eber, Misham, and Shemed who built Ono and Lod and its villages, 12The sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built the towns of Ono and Lod and their nearby villages),
13Beriah and Shema, who were the heads of families of Aijalon's residents and who drove out the residents of Gath, 13Beriah, and Shema. They were the leaders of the clans living in Aijalon, and they drove out the inhabitants of Gath.
14Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth. 14Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth,
15Zebadiah, Arad, Eder, 15Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,
16Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were Beriah's sons. 16Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.
17Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber, 17Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,
18Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab were Elpaal's sons. 18Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.
19Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi, 19Jakim, Zicri, Zabdi,
20Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel, 20Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel,
21Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were Shimei's sons. 21Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.
22Ishpan, Eber, Eliel, 22Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,
23Abdon, Zichri, Hanan, 23Abdon, Zicri, Hanan,
24Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah, 24Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,
25Iphdeiah, and Penuel were Shashak's sons. 25Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.
26Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah, 26Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,
27Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zichri were Jeroham's sons. 27Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zicri were the sons of Jeroham.
28These were heads of families, chiefs according to their genealogies, and lived in Jerusalem. 28These were the leaders of the ancestral clans; they were listed in their genealogical records, and they all lived in Jerusalem. The Family of Saul
29Jeiel fathered Gibeon and lived in Gibeon. His wife's name was Maacah. 29Jeiel (the father of Gibeon) lived in the town of Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah,
30Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab, 30and his oldest son was named Abdon. Jeiel’s other sons were Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
31Gedor, Ahio, Zecher, 31Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah,
32and Mikloth who fathered Shimeah. These also lived opposite their relatives in Jerusalem, with their other relatives. 32and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeam. All these families lived near each other in Jerusalem.
33Ner fathered Kish, Kish fathered Saul, and Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal. 33Ner was the father of Kish. Kish was the father of Saul. Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malkishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
34Jonathan's son was Merib-baal, and Merib-baal fathered Micah. 34Jonathan was the father of Merib-baal. Merib-baal was the father of Micah.
35Micah's sons: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz. 35Micah was the father of Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
36Ahaz fathered Jehoaddah, Jehoaddah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri fathered Moza. 36Ahaz was the father of Jadah. Jadah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Moza.
37Moza fathered Binea. His son was Raphah, his son Elasah, and his son Azel. 37Moza was the father of Binea. Binea was the father of Rephaiah. Rephaiah was the father of Eleasah. Eleasah was the father of Azel.
38Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were Azel's sons. 38Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
39His brother Eshek's sons: Ulam was his firstborn, Jeush second, and Eliphelet third. 39Azel’s brother Eshek had three sons: the first was Ulam, the second was Jeush, and the third was Eliphelet.
40Ulam's sons were warriors and archers. They had many sons and grandsons--150 of them. All these were among Benjamin's sons. 40Ulam’s sons were all mighty warriors and expert archers. They had many sons and grandsons—150 in all. All these were descendants of Benjamin.
