| 1Shout praise to God all the earth! | 1To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: |
| 2Sing praise about the glory of his name. Make his praise glorious. | 2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. |
| 3Say to God: "How awesome are your works! Because of your great strength your enemies cringe before you." | 3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. |
| 4The whole earth worships you. They sing praise to you. They sing praise to your name. Interlude | 4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. |
| 5Come and see the awesome works of God on behalf of human beings: | 5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. |
| 6He turned the sea into dry land. Israel crossed the river on foot; let us rejoice in him. | 6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him. |
| 7He rules by his power forever, his eyes watching over the nations. Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Interlude | 7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah. |
| 8Bless our God, people, and let the sound of his praise be heard. | 8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: |
| 9He gives us life and does not permit our feet to slip. | 9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. |
| 10For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver. | 10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. |
| 11You have led us into a trap and set burdens on our backs. | 11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. |
| 12You caused men to ride over us. You brought us through fire and water, but you led us to abundance. | 12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. |
| 13I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you | 13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, |
| 14that my lips uttered and that my mouth spoke when I was in trouble. | 14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. |
| 15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat, along with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams. I will offer bulls along with goats. Interlude | 15I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. |
| 16Come and listen, all of you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. | 16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. |
| 17I called aloud to him and praised him with my tongue. | 17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. |
| 18Were I to cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen to me. | 18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: |
| 19Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers. | 19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. |
| 20Blessed be God, who did not turn away my prayers nor his gracious love from me. | 20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. |
