Hebrews 13

Let brotherly love continue. 1Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.
Stop neglecting to show hospitality to strangers, for by showing hospitality some have had angels as their guests without being aware of it. 2Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Continue to remember those in prison as if you were in prison with them, as well as those who are mistreated, since they also are only mortal. 3Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
Let marriage be kept honorable in every way, and the marriage bed undefiled. For God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery.4Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for God has said, "I will never leave you or abandon you."5Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Hence we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?" 6So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"
Remember your leaders, those who have spoken God's word to you. Think about the impact of their lives, and imitate their faith. 7Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Jesus, the Messiah, is the same yesterday and today—and forever!8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Stop being carried away by all kinds of unusual teachings, for it is good that the heart be strengthened by grace, not by food laws that have never helped those who follow them.9Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so.
We have an altar, and those who serve in the tent have no right to eat at it. 10We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
For the bodies of animals, whose blood is taken into the sanctuary by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. 11The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp.
That is why Jesus, in order to sanctify the people by his own blood, also suffered outside the city gate. 12And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
Therefore go to him outside the camp and endure the insults he endured. 13Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.
For here we have no permanent city but are looking for the one that is coming. 14For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
Therefore, through him let us always bring God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess his name. 15Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
Do not neglect to do good and to be generous, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.16And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Continue to follow and be submissive to your leaders, since they are watching over your souls as those who will have to give a word of explanation. By doing this, you will be letting them carry out their duties joyfully, and not with grief, for that would be harmful for you.17Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. 18Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way.
I especially ask you to do this so that I may be brought back to you sooner.19I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.
Now may the God of peace, who by the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, 20Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,
equip you with everything good to do his will, accomplishing in us what pleases him through Jesus, the Messiah. To him be glory forever and ever! Amen.21equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I urge you, brothers, to listen patiently to my encouraging message, for I have written you a short letter.22Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite briefly.
You should know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he comes soon, he will be with me when I see you.23I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those who are from Italy greet you.24Greet all your leaders and all the Lord's people. Those from Italy send you their greetings.
May grace be with all of you! 25Grace be with you all.
